MVRDV建筑设计事务所创建于1991年，是当今荷兰最有影响力的建筑师事务所之一。它由三位年轻的荷兰建筑师韦尼·马斯（WinyMaas，生于1959年）、雅各布·凡·里斯（Jacob van Rijs，生于1964年）和娜莎莉·德·弗里斯（Nathalie de Vries，生于1965年）组成，事务所的名称即取自于这三位建筑师的姓氏。尽管他们的事务所创建时间不长，设计并建成的作品也不是很多，但他们的作品在国际建筑界受到广泛关注。

DW: 您最近完工了哪些项目，可以否介绍一下，它的设计理念是怎样的？

What kind of projects did you complete recently? Could you explain the design philosophy beside them in two words?

Nathalie: 我们最近完工的Kwantes别墅项目位于鹿特丹以西，设计的概念重在把轻微的洋溢氛围和这片区域属于上个世纪30年代的荷兰现代设计风格结合起来。

Casa Kwantes is a recently completed project by MVRDV which is a residential villa West of Rotterdam. The design philosophy here was to combine a light filled and private home which also was contemporary update on 1930s Dutch Modern design of the area.

DW: 回顾您创业至今的设计历程，最大的感悟是什么?

Looking back to your design career from the beginning to the present, what’s your deepest feeling or understanding?

自公司创立之日起，我们始终保持着用一种激进的、雄心壮志的方式来实现不同的设计思维。同时，我们不断的强调以用户和特定环境为基础来打造高效和功能性的空间。这一直都是非常重要的，跟我们的团队一直在不断成长、城市空间密度不断增加一样。

Nathalie: Since the beginning, we have always Throughout developed different ideas in a progressive and ambitious manner. There has always been emphasis on creating efficient and functional spaces that are user defined and context specific. This continues to be important as our population continues to grow and urban areas increase in their density.

DW: 您在中国上海设立分公司的目的是什么？对未来中国市场的规划又是怎样的？

Why did you consider establishing an office in Shanghai? What’s your plan for the market of China in upcoming years?

我们在中国从事设计有一段时间了，而且我们在这片广袤的区域不断地建立更加稳健的合作关系。在这个过程中，我们的上海办事处扮演了很重要的角色，为了能够全身心的投入到项目中，执行团队在中国境内而非从国外调度是很重要的。在我们的众多项目中，我们期待天津滨海公共图书馆项目的完工。再就是深圳西丽体育文化中心，代表着一个全新的社会象征，让一处体育中心更加的亲密、人性化，其中还包括许多的文化设施。

Nathalie: We have worked in China for a period of time now and continue to build stronger working relationships in the region. The Shanghai office plays a significant part in this process as it was important for us to operate within China and not from abroad in order to fully integrate in the projects we work on there. We are very much looking forward to the completion of the Tianjin Binhai Public library this summer. Then the Xili Sports and Cultural Centre in Shenzhen which is a new ‘social’ typology making a sports center more intimate, humanistic and includes cultural facilities.

DW: 您如何看待建筑或室内设计的未来趋势?

What’s your opinion on the future development trends of architecture or interior design?

Nathalie: 建筑和设计相比过去更加的富有创意，那么其中科技的进步不断的改变着设计师们的工作方式。

Architecture and design is more innovative than ever before. Technology is really changing the way the profession works.
