邵唯晏現任「竹工凡木設計研究室」台北總部主持人，也為中國北京分部及台灣台南分部之設計總監，另外也任教於中原大學建築系及室設系(畢製指導)，專長為空間設計與電腦輔助設計(CAD/CAM)整合，關注世界設計脈動，並強調設計實務與學術研究並行的重要性，目前也為台灣交通大學建築博士候選人，2008曾代表台灣前往日本參與安藤忠雄海外實習計畫(Ando Program)。除學術研究上表現外，也積極參與國內外競圖，屢獲佳績，2006榮獲國家建築金質獎設計新人獎、2007交大年度最佳設計獎、2008國際遠東數位建築獎FEIDAD Award TOP5、2009 TID Award新銳獎及2010TID Award金獎，2009更獲選La Vie雜誌台灣100大設計。另外，2008也獲邀參展第11屆威尼斯建築雙年展新人設計展、2010台灣國際文博會及2011台灣國際設計博覽會、2012金點設計獎(Golden Pin Award)、2012紅點獎決選(Red Dot Award Final Jury)及2013亞太設計金獎，2014年榮獲International JINTANG PRIZE的年度新銳設計師及獲選華人新勢力50, 2015被更被評選為亞洲明日之星40及中國設計之星。
As Chief Designer of CHU-studio in Taipei, Tainan and Beijing, as well as lecturer of both Department of Design and Department of Architecture(Instructor of Graduate Design) in Chung Yuan Christian University, Shao Wei-Yen specialized in integrating space design with CAD/CAM system, focusing on the world trend, and emphasized the importance of practical level and academic level. He was selected to participate in 2008 Ando program in Japan. Currently he is a Ph.D. Candidate of Graduate Institute of Architecture of National Chiao Tung University. In addition to his outstanding performance in academia, he also took part in many design competitions. He was awarded 2006 Freshman of the National Golden Award of Architecture, 2009 Chiao Tung University the Best Design of the Year, 2008 the FEIDAD Award Top 5, 2009 TIDING Award, 2009 La Vie Magazine Best 100 Design, 2010 TID Golden Award, 2012 Golden Pin Award and 2012 Red Dot Award Final Jury nominee. He was also invited to exhibit his works in 2008 the 11th La Biennale di Venezia, 2010 Taiwan International Cultural & Creative Industry Expo and 2011 Taiwan International Design Expo.
