It all starts from here…

早在 2020 年，NBBJ 被选为占地 200 万平方米的腾讯深圳前海总部园区项目（网络城市）整体规划的中标者。从那时起，NBBJ 的名字就与这个以人为本的园区紧密联系在一起，由此产生的规划为后续一系列的设计工作提供了总体指导。

Back in 2020, NBBJ was selected as the winner of the overall planning of the 2 million-square-meter Tencent’s Shenzhen Qianhai Headquarters Campus Project (Net City). Since then, the name of NBBJ was closely linked to this people-focused campus with the resulting plan to create an overarching guide for subsequent design efforts.  

腾讯园区秉承 “以人为本”的理念，从掀起的海浪、连绵起伏的山谷以及腾讯业务固有的互联网特质中汲取灵感，将腾讯园区打造成一座未来的科技之城。设计团队将这些理念转化为城市独有的雕刻般流畅的天际线，并注重人与人、人与自然的联系。

With a mentality of placing people and the environment before cars, the Tencent Campus is envisioned to be a future tech city by drawing inspirations from high sea-waves, rolling valleys, and the interconnectedness inherent to Tencent’s business. The design team translated these ideas into a sculpted and flowing skyline unique to the city and focused on human connection to each other and nature.

通过实施园区总体规划，由NBBJ主持设计的 04 号地块西区所处的位置，天际线从地块南端总部集群开始缓缓下降，划出一道柔和的曲线，随后在接近北侧相邻的交通导向型开发地块时急速上升。这种天际线上的弧形姿态优化了前海和周边地区的景观视野，同时也清晰明确地勾勒出城市形态和视觉节奏。

By implementing the campus masterplan, the NBBJ-designed Plot 04 West Area sits in a location where the skyline gently drops from the southern tip of the site next to the headquarters cluster, draws a gentle curve, and then swoops up when approaching the adjacent transit-oriented development plots on the north side. This curved gesture at the skyline optimizes the landscaped views around Qianhai and the surrounding areas, while articulating a clear and well-defined urban form and visual rhythm.

Ø 创造富有生命力的建筑组团

Create a living building cluster

腾讯园区 04 地块西区由四栋研发办公塔楼组成，被设计构想为通往园区的绿色门户，将腾讯业务的核心人员联系起来，同时给员工和访客留下重要的标志性印象。它还被设计为整个园区生态系统的一部分，在建筑与景观之间建立起良性而亲密的对话。

The Tencent Plot 04 West Area, comprised of four R&D office towers, is designed as a green gateway to the campus, linking and connecting people at the heart of Tencent’s business while forming an important and iconic impression to employees and visitors. It is also designed as part of a campus-wide ecosystem that builds a healthy and intimate conversation between architecture and landscape.

四座塔楼被设计成一个富有生命力的活体景观，犹如植被般向上生长。同时，建筑外立面的设计就像植物那样，着重强调同样的设计理念，并将建筑包裹起来，通过材料的金属质感传达出未来主义的既视感。通过参数化设计方法，外立面上的装饰翼以不同的深度排列，以反映内部的功能变化，视线的需求，并起到自我遮阳的作用。

The four towers are designed as a living landscape with resilient vegetation that grows upwards. Meanwhile, the building facades, just like leaves and blossoms, are designed to strengthen the same design concept and wrap up the building, conveying a futuristic look and feel through the metallic texture of the materials. Through parametric design approaches, the decorative fins on the facades are arranged at varied depths to reflect the programs inside, respond to sightline needs and function as sunshades.

塔楼展开后形成一条中央绿轴，连接整个园区的所有公共区域，优化了员工与自然的联系和户外工作的机会。此外，每座塔楼都设有绿色屋顶和露台，将美轮美奂的海景尽收眼底，供人们休憩、会面或沟通协作。  

The towers unfold and open up into a central green axis that connects all the common areas throughout the campus, optimizing employee connection to nature, and outdoor working opportunities. Also, each of the towers feature green roofs and terraces that frame breathtaking sea views for people to recharge, meet up or collaborate.

Ø 为共同的可持续发展目标为努力
Contribute to the shared sustainable goals

为响应建设可持续发展的低碳园区的总体目标和海绵城市发展倡议，项目的设计纳入了一系列可持续发展战略，以提高能源效率，促进人体健康。目前，该项目正在争取获得中国三星级绿建认证。

In response to an overarching goal of building a sustainable, low-carbon campus and the Sponge City initiative, the design incorporates a series of sustainable strategies for energy efficiency and human health. The project now is tracking China Grade-3 Green Star.
