For one of their first residential projects in Hawaii, Arquitectonica has designed a building that is fresh, modern and inspired by the island of Oahu, known for its lush green landscape, world famous white beaches and rich blue oceans. Like nature that is always in a state of flux, the facade of The Launiu has been designed to allow for a multitude of interpretations, and evokes the ever changing state of nature, Oahu and the Hawaiian islands.

The Launiu is designed by Arquitectonica – the acclaimed international architecture firm known for projects such as the Miami Heat’s Miami-Dade Arena, formerly known as the American Airlines Arena and the Atlantis Condominiums in Miami – The Launiu will rise 40 stories at the intersection of Ala Moana Boulevard and Ward Avenue and bring a collection of 486 condominium residences and over 78,300 square feet of resort-style amenities to this desirable front-row location. Inspired by the elegance of South Shore living, The Launiu will feature sophisticated interiors by ODADA and lush landscape architecture by VITA.

The project will also feature over 78,300 square feet of resort-style amenities overlooking.

Homes at The Launiu range from studio to three-bedroom layouts, with 90 units situated within the podium and the remaining 396 units located in the tower. The exteriors by Arquitectonica boast a dynamic undulating design with architecture that references the organic nature of the coastal surroundings in a contemporary way. The building’s façade will feature white painted aluminum on the tower and a sand-colored aluminum for the podium, with glazed window wall systems featuring neutral to light grey glass. Select tower residences will feature lanai for an enhanced indoor-outdoor living experience, and residents will enjoy a variety of breathtaking views, including Hawaii’s iconic Diamond Head to the east and incredible Pacific views to the south and west.
