都与此处的喧嚣和历史底蕴

化作了隽永的记忆


由李⼦坝蜿蜒的马路顺⼭势上⾏,中古店“NAGNAG那个”静默地掩映于苍翠的林间。建筑砖⽯的肌理斑驳被时尚现代的银⾊镜墙克制地包裹,镜⾯倒映出周遭的绿影摇曳。
Going up the mountain along the winding road of Liziba, the vintage store "NAGNAG" is silently hidden in the urban greenery. The mottled texture of the bricks is surrounded by such a stylish and modern silver mirror wall that reflects the trees swaying around in silhouette.

藏进都市绿林的中古美术馆 /

Peace in the City: 

a Vintage museum hidden in the urban forest.


“中古”⼀词在⽇语中为半旧之意,不同于普通的⼆⼿奢侈品⽣意,在NAGNAG 主理人这里,每⼀件中古品更近乎于⼀件艺术品,它们独特的⼯艺、设计、时代,以及经典品牌赋予物件的⽂化表达都应得到重视。
"Zhonggu" a.k.a. vintage in English comes from the Japanese word “ちゅうこ”, which means “old but admired, and probably the best of their kind”. For the curators of NAGNAG,  this is not the usual second-hand luxury business. Here, each vintage item is supposedly a work of art. Their unique craftsmanship, design, era, and the cultural expression of the classic brands are rightfully valued.

中古并非复古,主理人们并不希望NAGNAG在一个虚假的复古空间内随意的堆放众多价值上万的包,而是需要提供一个能够为每一个中古品讲述故事的地方。由此,三渊想到了美术馆,美术馆是世界上包容性最强的空间形式,从乡野的民俗到贵族的珍宝皆可在其中陈列。

A vintage store is not about the retro-style interior design. The curators do not want NAGNAG to be a soulless retro space randomly stacked with bags worth tens of thousands,  but a place that tells the stories behind every vintage item. Hence, Sanyuan drew inspiration from art museums, the most inclusive place in the world where everything from rural folk items to noble treasures can be displayed. 


因此策划上并非将店铺定位为一个单纯卖二手奢侈品的场所,而是增加了其公共属性和文化属性,不仅向小众玩家开放,同时也是向大家讲述中古文化的美术馆,这里的一切退至背后,将高光让给跨越时间与空间的中古世界。
Therefore, the design of the store is not to create a place that simply sells second-hand luxury goods, but to increase its public and cultural attributes. It is not intended for a niche market,  but to be an art gallery that tells everyone about vintage culture. Here everything else recedes into the background, giving the highlights to the vintage world that spans over time and space.

/市井与时尚、朴拙与先锋

--复杂环境带来的便利与挑战/

Everyday life vs. fashion, simplicity vs. avant-garde

the convenience and challenges brought about by a complex surrounding environment.


项目坐落于李子坝街区依山而建的两座老屋里。老屋之间自带一条上山步行道连接山上山下两条公路。它于半⼭之间,可俯瞰李⼦坝公园的葱郁园景以及公园背后的嘉陵江⽔;同时也地处⼭城轻轨穿楼的热闹与公园历史⼈⽂的静谧之间。项目在这里聚合了山顶的咖啡馆和半山中的中古店、买⼿店三个业态,它们彼此串联形成了独特的“中古爬山步道“。
The project is located in two old houses built against the mountain in Liziba District, with an uphill walking trail between the old houses connecting the two roads on top and at the bottom of the mountain. Located in the mid-mountain area, it overlooks the lush gardens of Liziba Park and the Jialing River behind, and it also enjoys the hustling view of the light rail passing through the building at Liziba Metro Station and the quietness of the park that is rich in history and culture. Here, the project brings together three kinds of business: the mountain top coffee shop, the mid-mountain vintage store and the boutique store. They are intertwined to form a unique "Vintage Mountain Hiking Trail".

而在最初的选址中,这里只有山上马路边的一层小屋和半山的二层老房子,周边环境尚未开发,业态本身也被分为三个标高,之间全要靠室外的山道相连,破碎而割裂。在设计中,三渊意识到三个业态的连接并不能单纯依靠室外公共的崎岖山道,一方面重庆的天气复杂多变,另一方面狭窄封闭的山道也无法尽情的欣赏近在咫尺的江景。整体空间业态的有效串联需要解决独立,安全,体验感三个问题。
In the initial site selection, there were only a one-story hut by the road on top and a two-story old house in the middle. The surrounding environment had not yet been developed, and the project was located on three floor elevations. Torn and broken, they were connected only by the outdoor mountain trail. During the process of design, Sanyuan realized that the connection of the three businesses could not simply rely on the outdoor rugged mountain trail. On the one hand, the weather in Chongqing is complex and changeable, on the other hand, the narrow and closed mountain trail would deprive the customers of a full view of the river. The effective connection of the whole space needed to solve the three problems of independence, safety and customer experience.

因此三渊在设计时通过串联屋顶露台的方式重新为项目打造更加高效且富有趣味的垂直交通。顾客无需经过漫长的爬山步道,从咖啡厅便可进入中古店,途中还可以在中古店的屋顶露台欣赏重庆江景。半山小屋的一层二层也部分上下层打通做成一个垂拔空间,由此,顾客在各业态之间的动线是独立于室外环境的,在室内完成了上山下山的过程。
Therefore, Sanyuan created a more efficient and interesting vertical transportation for the project by connecting the roof terraces in the design. 
Customers can enter the vintage store from the coffee shop without the need to go through a long mountain-hiking trail. Along the way, they can also enjoy the river view from the roof terrace of the vintage store. The first and second floors of the half-mountain houses are also partially opened up to form a vertical space. As a result, the customer's movement between various businesses is independent of the outdoor environment, and the process of going up and down the mountain is completely indoor.


/四时之景,时空之门/

The view of four seasons, the gate of time and space


恰如空间本⾝所处的复杂环境,市井与时尚的对⽐与碰撞也延续在对外⽴⾯的改造上。半山林中的两层老屋半隐半现,一面是半山中茂密的植被,一面是山下熙攘的公路。建筑并未选择张扬的方式去试图在这种混沌的环境中脱颖而出,而是反向的选择了一种消隐的策略。
Just like the complex environment where the projectis located, the contrast and collision between every day life and fashion also prevails in the renovation of the exterior. The two-story old house in the half-mountain forest is half-hidden, with the dense greenery in the half-mountain on one side and the bustling highway down the mountain on the other. The architecture does not strive to stand out in this chaotic environment in a flamboyant way, but instead manifests a strategy of concealment.

老屋绝大部分的原始立面得以保留,而入口处的一端加建出的7米高的镜面体如同扭曲了此处的时空,使老屋的一角消失在半山之中。仿佛一座连接不同时空的镜门,将人们引入另一个中古世界。镜门上反映出周边环境的四季变化,则表达了一种关于时间的隐喻,与中古的主题相合。
Most of the original facade of the old house has been preserved, and the 7-meter-high mirror surface added at one end of the entrance seems to distort time and space here, so that the corner of the old house disappears in the middle of the mountain.   It is like a mirror door connecting different time and space, introducing people into a world of vintage. A metaphor for time, the mirror door reflects the changes of the four seasons in the surrounding environment, which is in line with the theme of vintage.


与此同时,如何在原本狭小局促的旧屋室内营造一种类似美术馆的开敞且变化丰富的观展体验也成为了一个重要的设计挑战。
At the same time, how to create an open and varied viewing experience similar to an art gallery in the originally cramped old house has also become an important design challenge.

形式上,如同镜子的两面,相对于室外的镜门,室内也设计了一座两层通高的黑色石门,如同来自远古的纪念碑成为中古店的中心。
In terms of form, like the two sides of a mirror, a two-storey high black stone door has been installed indoors, as opposed to the outdoor mirror door. With much resemblance to a monument from ancient times, it became the center of the vintage store.

空间上它在联通上下层的同时也划分了室内的空间,给原本局促的室内增加了穿越探索的空间景深。在此基础上店内的陈列品围绕这座“中古之门”进行布置。一楼被石门和垂拔分为三个空间,在收放变化的节奏中层层递进。
Spatially, it not only connects the upper and lower floors, but also divides the interior space, adding a spatial depth of field to the originally cramped interior. On this basis, the displays in the store are arranged around this "gate of vintage". The first floor is divided into three spaces by the stone gate and the atrium space which progresses layer by layer in the rhythm of retraction and change.

同时又在婉转的游⾛间点缀了⼀些独具匠⼼的设计细节,包括有⾊彩变幻的灯带,灯带可以变换每⼀年的年度流行⾊彩,以及最深处的试⾐空间保留了砖⽯空间的结构,由外向内像是从当代回溯,砖⽯的粗粝更贴近时间的亘古。
At the same time, the space has been embellished with some ingenious design details including color-changing light strips that can change to the annual color of the year. Similarly, the brick structure of the fitting room deep in the back has been reserved, with the rough surface of brick a symbol of eternal time, and it creates a feeling of travelling back in time when customers going from the outside to the inside.

从⼀楼由垂拔⾏⾄⼆楼,则是⼀个开敞却层次丰富的⽩⾊展厅。展厅将根据本层主要的中古包品牌设计⼀系列灯光装置,纵横交错的吊灯隐喻着香奈儿经典的菱格纹理。

Walking to the second floorfrom the first floor through the atriumspace, there is an open yet richly decorated white exhibition hall. The exhibition hall has been installed with a series of lighting designs based on the primal vintage bag brand of the floor,  using the crisscrossed chandeliers as a resemblance to the classic rhombus texture of certain famous brand Chanel.

从陈列台到墙饰,从⾐饰到包袋,空间的尺度都极尽周到地呈现每⼀个陈列动⼈的细节,即便是包装桌台也都以展品的视⾓来呈现⼀种仪式性。
From the display stand to the wall decorations, from the accessories to the bags, the space has been done to such an extreme scale as to thoughtfully present every moving detail of the products on display. Even the packaging table has been presented as a ritual from the perspective of the exhibits.

此外在陈列台正对的⼀⾯,是两⾯明亮的落地窗,窗外是江⽔⼭林,四季变化。视线由窗望出,落地窗成为了⼀个画框,画中框定的是流变的风景。⼈总在⾃然之中,⼈⽂也总是⾃然之美的⼀部分。
In addition, on the opposite side of the display stand, there are two bright floor-to-ceiling windows offering a beautiful view of the river and forest outside that changes with the four seasons. Looking out, the window becomes a picture frame that encapsulates the changing landscape. Here, men are always surrounded by nature, and they have also become part of the beauty of nature.

/被不同标高,自然和时间映照的风景/

With different elevations, landscapes changes with nature and time


沿着新建的江景楼梯往上便是中古美术馆屋顶露台和⽴于山顶的咖啡厅。
Going up along the newly built river-view stairs is the roof terrace of the vintage museum and the mountain-top cafe.


露台是⼀个公共空间,供⼈们休憩和俯瞰、欣赏嘉陵江江景之⽤,让顾客有⼀份独特且美好的探店体验。同时在功能上露台起着承上启下的作⽤,它承接咖啡厅并导向中古美术馆。
The terrace is a public space for people to rest, overlook and enjoy the scenery of the Jialing River, allowing customers to have a unique and beautiful experience of visiting the store. At the same time, functionally, the terrace plays a role as a link between the cafe and the vintage museum.

露台的存在丰富了整体的空间体验,露台四周通过银⾊镜面屏障进行了视线引导,隔绝下方嘈杂公路的同时将游客的视线引向天空和远方的城市,使人们可以在此处尽情欣赏重庆的江景。
Guided by a silver mirror barrier which isolates the noisy road below and guides the tourists’ sight to the sky and the city in the distance, the terrace enriches the overall spatial experience for the customers by enabling them to fully appreciate the river view of Chongqing.

咖啡厅位于山顶的老屋内,与山上的公路直接相连并扮演中古美术馆的序厅。在外⽴⾯的改建上延续了银色镜墙的材质,内部则保留了裸露的砖⽯肌理。
The coffee shop is located in the mountain-top old house, which is directly connected to the road on top of the mountain and serves as the porch to the vintage museum. Same material of the silver mirror wall has been adopted for the renovation of the exterior, while the exposed brick texture is retained inside.

在这样的过渡与结合中,现代与传统、新与旧形成对⽐,彼此彰显。裸露的砖墙代表原始、粗旷,让⼈们回味本源、来处。银⾊金属材质代表当代、极简,让人们看到先锋与未来。由中古美术馆到咖啡馆,仿佛由当下⾛向过去,坐在咖啡店内可以感受到时间的痕迹。
With such transition and combination, the modern and the traditional, the new and the old form a contrast and manifest each other. The exposed brick wall represents primitiveness and roughness, making people reminisce about the origin of life and where human beings came from. Silver metal material represents contemporary and minimalist, allowing people to see the avant-garde and the future. From the vintage museum to the coffee shop, time seems to be moving from the present to the past. One can feel the traces of time while sitting in the coffee shop.

以时空之门为起点,一直至最高处的咖啡小屋,从最初树林的意象,转至二层的绿荫树梢,再到露台开阔的葱郁,一路都细腻而鲜活地呈现了与自然和时间映照的三处风景。当日暮江河,余晖洒下的江水粼粼,河流清风先轻拂过密林的树稍、穿过川流不息的道路,最终抵达屋顶露台,时间化作景语,就像是被时间洗礼的中古品一样。

Starting from the gate of time and space, all the way to the coffee shop at the highest point, from the initial image of the woods, to the green treetops on the second floor, and then to the open lushness of the terrace, all along the way, the three landscapes have been delicately and vividly presented, with a reflection in time and perfect harmony with nature. In the evening, the river water sparkles in the afterglow, the river breeze brushes over the trees in the dense forest, crosses the busy road, and finally reaches the roof terrace. Time turns into a scene, like a vintage product nurtured by time, all the avant-garde and fashionable temperament has been transformed into meaningful memories with the hustle and bustle and history here.

欧洲⼈有⼀句话:You always meet twice in your life time. 相逢的会再相逢。在NAGNAG那个的空间中,我们期待当代与复古的相逢,⼈⽂与⾃然的相逢,今与昔的相逢,⼈与⼈的相逢以及重逢。
An European saying goes: You always meet twice in your life time. Those who have met will meet again. In the space of NAGNAG, we look forward to the meeting of the contemporary and the retro, the meeting of the humanities and the nature, the meeting of the present and the past, and the meeting and reunion of people.
