新加坡乌节希尔顿酒店位于乌节繁华的购物街中心，专为都市旅行者而设计。这家酒店接管了原有的文华大酒店，并对其进行了修复和改造。设计主旨是打造现代化的酒店产品并与乌节路的起源-果园文化遗产相联系的同时，完美融入周边的现代化零售氛围。

Situated in the heart of the bustling shopping street in Orchard, Hilton Singapore Orchard is designed for the urban travelers in mind. This hotel is a restoration and conversion project that took over the pre-existing hotel, Mandarin Orchard. The design brief was to create a contemporary Hotel product that could relate to the locality and the origins of Orchard Road while capturing the modern retail context in the vicinity.

与大多数翻新工程类似，通常需要考虑许多结构和空间限制。设计师重新审视了现有设计平面图，塑造了酒店的设计语言，并重新定义了从客人到达客房的体验。

Akin to most renovation works, there are commonly lots of structural and space limitations to take into consideration as compared to a new building. The studio re-looked into the existing plan, shaped the hotel’s design language, and redefined the experience right from the guest’s arrival to the guestrooms.

为了向乌节路的果园文化遗产致敬，“乌节乡间小路”被用作总体概念。结构化的建筑线条源自纵横交错的乡间小路，与精致的自然元素和色调分层，为我们的设计语言奠定了基础。这种简洁的线条将城市结构语言带入空间，赋予现代感，与其以前的现代古典风外观建立鲜明对比。考虑到感官体验，柔和的自然光、精致的木质纹理和绿意的气息形成了远离下方喧闹街道的宁静氛围。

Paying homage to Orchard Road’s agricultural heritage, "The Orchard Trail" was adopted as the overarching concept. Structured architectural lines, derived from the vertical and horizontal lines of the trail, layered with refined natural elements and tones set as a foundation for our design approach. This clean line-work brings the urban structural language into the space giving a modern contemporary touch to establish a contrasting identity to its previous modern classical look. Considering the sensory experience, soft natural light, refined wood texture, and the accent of sage form a grounded base of tranquillity away from the buzzing street below.

公共空间和客房空间以“元素”(接待)、“温室”(大堂酒廊)、“棚屋”(大堂吧)、“枝叶”(客房)、 “智能绿洲”(会议设施)和“种子宝藏”(总统套房)为主题，扩展了整个的乌节乡间小路体验。

The public and the guestrooms spaces within are themed The Elements(Reception), The Conservatory(Lobby lounge), The Shed(Lobby bar), The Foliage (Guestrooms), The Smart Oasis (Meeting Facilities), and The Seed Treasure (Presidential Suite), expanding the orchard trail experience throughout the whole property.

在改造之前，接待处和大堂空间位于一个具有双层挑空的过渡区域。为了创造更私密和多感官的体验，设计师将接待和大堂吧重新安置到两个独立的空间。客人先到接待处办理入住手续，然后通过走廊到达大堂吧。

Prior to the renovation, the reception and the lobby space are located in a transitional open area with a double volume ceiling. To create a more intimate and multisensory experience, the studio has relocated the reception and lobby lounge into two separate spaces. Guests would first arrive at the reception for check-in and walk through a corridor before arriving at the lobby lounge.

进入电梯厅后，客人将到达五层的接待处。两个独立的青铜照明装置由一根柱子和四块垂直面板隔开，将电梯厅和公共座位空间进行分隔。这在接待处之前形成了一个宽敞而私密的空间。走过屏风的一侧，接待处位于空间远端与墙相邻的位置。这个新的接待地点让酒店客人可以在一个更隐蔽和私人的空间里得到接待。

Upon entering the lift lobby, the guest would arrive at the reception on the fifth level. Screened by a pillar and four vertical panels, two stand-alone bronze featured lighting stood as a divider between the lift lobby and an inviting communal seating space. This forms a sizable yet intimate space before the reception. Walking over the side of the screen, the reception sits adjacent to the wall at the far end of the space. This new location for the reception allowed the hotel guest to be received in a more secluded and private space.

归根于乡间小路元素，接待台使用带有光滑线条的深色木板，而带有绿意的雕刻木材则作为背景。在接待空间的中间，赤褐色的靠垫与柔软的灰色沙发相映成趣，下面是一块灰色的水洗地毯。与周围的深色木材和绿意形成鲜明对比，这种柔和的色彩柔化了整个接待处。

Attributing to the trail elements, dark wood panels with sleek linework are reflected on the reception desk while sculpted wood accented with sage sets a backdrop. In the middle of the reception space, an auburn hue cushion accented against the soft grey sofa with a grey washed rug sitting beneath. This muted shade softens up the entire reception in contrast to the dark wood and sage around it.

沿着走道，我们会到达大堂酒廊，GingerLily。酒店的新中心，白天的下午茶空间和晚上的酒吧空间，外部休息空间以温室为概念，让自然光流入，而内部空间则以棚屋的概念提供夜间酒吧活动氛围。

Following the walkway, we would arrive at the lobby lounge, GingerLily. The New Heart of the Hotel, A high- tea space during the day and a lobby bar at the night, the outer sitting space of the lobby lounge is conceptualized as a glasshouse to allow natural light to stream in while the inner space replicates the mood of a dark shed for night bar activities.

作为一个拥有充足日光的温室，酒廊外部座位空间从接待空间转变为一个休闲角落。Avalon Collective 利用原有大堂的双层挑空，为客人创造了一个明亮通风的空间，让他们在观看人群的同时享受饮料。内部座位区类似于一个现代谷仓，具有较低的天花高度，为社交和攀谈创造了一个私密的空间。

Envisioned as a glasshouse with ample daylight, the outer sitting space of the lobby lounge was converted from a reception space to a lounging corner. The studio took advantage of the double-height ceiling of the pre- existing lobby to create a light and airy space for guests to enjoy a drink while people-watching. The inner seating area resembles a modern barn with a lower ceiling height, creating an intimate space for socializing and mingling.

深色木地板迎接客人进入总统套房，而带有绿意的浅色地毯则构成了独立的生活空间。在改造之前，起居空间是一个开放式的区域，餐厅和生活区呈线性排布。Avalon Collective引入了一个阅读学习的壁龛，在宽敞的起居区域内激发感官趣味和私密的角落。

Dark timber flooring greets guests into the Presidential Suite, whilst light rugs tinted with sage wash framed the individual living spaces. Prior to the renovation, the living space is an open area with a dining and a living area in a linear fashion. The studio introduced a study and a reading niche to instill sensory interest and intimate corners within the expansive living area.

进入客厅，弧形靠背沙发优雅地坐在中间，作为分隔餐厅和客厅的核心。左边是白色大理石的餐台，搭配皮革软垫椅，上方是水滴造型的灯具。参考豆蔻、丁香、胡椒和肉豆蔻种子，起居空间继承了深厚的自然色调，营造出接地的特点。在弧形沙发前，棕色皮革凳子、深绿色天鹅绒沙发和浅灰色弧形靠背躺椅形成对比组合，在大理石板特色墙前营造出一种迷人的氛围。大理石屏风后面的书房采用了木镶板和赤褐色皮革椅子。上面引入了弧形的拱形天花板，软化了暗色和男性化的色调，呈现出内部的温柔。

Entering the living, a curved back sofa sits gracefully in the middle as a centrepiece dividing the dining and the living. To the left, a white marble dining top accompanying leather upholstered chair lies beneath the round droplets feature lighting atop. Taking reference to cardamom, clove, pepper, and nutmeg seeds, the living space inherited a deep natural palette initiating a grounded character. In front of the curved sofa, a contrasting combination of brown leather stools, a deep green velvet couch, and a light grey curved back chaise create an alluring atmosphere before the marble slab feature wall. A wood-paneled room accent with auburn leather chairs forms the study behind the marble screen. Curved vaulted ceiling is introduced above to soften the dark and masculine tone presenting gentleness within.

Contrary to the living space, light muted tones are applied against the sleek and defined lines in the bedroom. Gentle curves are applied at the edges of the room creating a continuity of the visual language from the living. Minimal linework of plantation-inspired graphic hang above the neutral-toned headboard. Beside the bed sits the bathtub with an exposed curved edge extending the softness into the bathroom.On the whole, the Presidential Suite encapsulates the authentic journey of the origin of life presenting the most precious and unpretentious Seed Treasure.
