川菜是美食的宠儿，提起川菜，大家想到的都是那一抹鲜红的辣椒油、辣而不燥，如同成都人的热情好客，知足安逸。

世间的食材任你千万种，但遇到那一抹“红”时,其多变的魅力和诱惑如同川剧的“变脸”一样神秘耐人寻味.......“川国演义”。

Sichuan cuisine is the darling of food. When we mentioned Sichuan Cuisine, the first thing we think of its bright red chill oil, spicy and not dry, like the hospitality of Chengdu people, contentment and comfort. There are thousand kinds of ingredients in the world, but when you encounter that red, which brings you versatile charm and temptation as ‘changing face’ of Sichuan Opera. That is ‘the Romance of Sichuan’.

一家经营三十多年的川菜馆，“生”与海南，长在广州又名杨京津。做为一家有时间沉淀的餐厅，菜品创新多变，环境也要有自己特有的符号和气质，寻找文化根源，用新的设计形式来诠释“川国演绎”。

This Sichuan restaurant has been in business for more than 30 years, which was born in Hainan and grown up in Guangzhou, also named YangJingjin. As a restaurant with time to precipitate, the dishes are constantly innovated, and the environment must have its own unique symbols and temperament. We tried to seek the cultural roots and interpret ‘the Romance of Sichuan’ by utilizing new design forms.

设计的灵感有时在刹那之间，行走在成都水井坊，错落有致的建筑形态，高高低低，犹如青城山的层峦叠嶂。特有的建筑群形态，让人不由的想起林雨堂所说的“宅中有园，园里有屋，屋中有院，院中有树......”这是大中国人终极的院落梦想，亦是“川国演义”梦想空间,也是灵感的源泉。

The inspiration of the design is sometimes in the moment, walking in Chengdu Shuijingfang, well-arranged architectural forms, high and low, like the layers of Qingcheng Mountain. The special architectural form makes people think of Lin Yutang’s saying that ‘there is a garden in the house, house in garden, courtyard in house, and trees in courtyard.’ This is the ultimate dream of Chinese people, ‘the Romance of Sichuan’ and the source of design inspiration.

设计方案除了要满足运营需求外，就是要凸显其文化。文化是形式的母体，而这种文化衍生出来的新形式是内敛的心境所致----围合空间。将中式四合院这种特有的建筑形式延伸到本案中，通过房子（包间）的体块错落有致的布置，房子与空间围合成院落亦是通道也是廊道，成了一个开放的、多元的就餐环境，一个根植与本土文化的空间特质。

In addition to restaurant daily operational needs, it is necessary to highlight its culture. Form comes from Chinese culture ‘introverted state of mind’-enclosed space. Extending the architectural form of Chinese courtyard house and local culture to this project, through the staggered layout of space, we create an open and diverse dining environment in courtyards and corridors.

餐厅入口处如同我们传统四合院一样，映入眼帘的首先是一面灰瓦“影壁墙”和一副属于巴蜀特有的红色脸谱。以不变的“红”迎接百变的人。

The entrance to the restaurant is like our traditional courtyard. The first thing that comes to customers is a classical ‘Bashu’ red mask with gray tile ‘shadow wall’. 

“宁可食无肉，不可居无竹”，做为院落空间，少了竹子是“无味”的，入口右侧廊道尽头,植一排竹子掩映穿插在空间中，半遮半掩尽显空间趣味。

‘It is better to eat without meat, not to live without bamboo’, as a yard space, bamboo is essential. At the end of the corridor of the entrance to the right side, a row of bamboo is standing, half hiding the space. That brings lots of interest.

在空间中行走，总能激发人前行的探索欲望，每一个空间看似的“终点”却是另外一个空间的起点，转折中前行，一收一放，让顾客总是不自觉想要探索何处是尽头......，真正有灵魂的空间不单依靠表面装饰去吸引眼球，而是通过对空间动线的“设计”，增加人与空间互动的趣味........

Walking in space always stimulates people’s desire to explore. Twisting and turning forward, customers always try to discover the end of restaurant. However, the seeming ‘end point’ of this space is the start point of another space. The real interest space not only relies on the surface decoration to attract eyes, but also increases the interaction between people and space by streamline.

包间与包间通过廊道相互分割又相互连接，形成了相对独立的院落，不自觉让人置身于“院中”，让人难忘的应是在院子里围桌而坐、把酒言欢，可风花雪月、可低声吟唱，最醉人的莫过于人与人之间的温情互动。

The private compartments are separated and connected to each other through corridors, forming an independent courtyard. It is unforgettable to site in the yard, sit around the table and enjoy the wine. 

屋里屋外朦胧之间、私密之间流露出是人与人之间的近距离的互动，或擦肩而过、或回眸一笑，这种刻意的设计，是希望让人和人能多点“温度”，这温度不是来源与颜色或材料而是这特有的“建筑群”形式传递出来的温度。

The happiest thing is the warmth of interaction between people. The close interaction is between the outside and the inside of the house and people in house and in corridor, passing by or smiling back. The deliberate design brings people more warmth and harmony, which comes from building itself not the color or materials. 

外建筑用胡桃木似水墨画画中的线条，勾勒出建筑的形态，也勾起心中对院子的向往。

特有的建筑围合形式，使每个建筑高低错落相互连接，自然形成不同斜度的“人字形”屋顶，这种不刻意的空间形式,为每个包间增加了一些趣味和独有的特点。每个包间是独立的建筑也是互通的室内。

The outer facade use walnut (as the line in wash painting) to outline the shape of the building, and also evokes the yearning for the yard. The architectural enclosure connects each building and naturally forms many ‘herringbone’ roofs with different slopes. This spatial form adds some fun and features to each compartment. Each compartment is independent and continuous.

在主材上我们主要选用了灰色瓦片和青砖, 因为它们是悠远而深邃，是一个很独特的文化符号，我们只是“借用”,并未改变其特性，层层叠叠的瓦片组成墙面，错落有致的瓦片铺设屋顶，深浅不一的青砖铺设地面、疏密有秩的竹林映射，用一种新的方式去嫁接文化，利用意识之眼让心灵能触及到空间的“ 温度"。

In terms of materials, we mainly selected gray tiles and blue bricks, since they look long and deep with unique cultural symbol. We just use a new way to graft culture without changing materials’ characteristics. Tiles are layered on wall facades and roofs, and the blue bricks are lying on the interior ground with the bamboo forest. That allows customers to touch the ‘temperature of space’.

川国的美食不仅是隐藏在那舌尖上的丰富体，更重要的是置身于快节奏的都市里，来到这里可以慢下脚步，让心灵可以感受到“院落”所流淌出的温情与趣味。

The cuisine of Sichuan is not only hidden on the tip of tongue, but also placed in a fast-paced city. Come here and slow down, you could feel the warmth and interest of the ‘courtyard’.
