Along with the progress of human civilization, the current network thinking is changing the face of life. The world's industrial type goes from simplification to complex, cross-border collaboration creates a trend of "Shared offices working" concept. The u-cube, located in Jing 'an district of Shanghai, it breaks the boundaries of traditional offices in response to industrial diversity and space requirements. Starting from " equipping with sharing, living with nature ", we aimed to create a space with diversity shared office type. Also, exploding an multi- dimensional atmosphere that condensing Shanghai's unique aspects of art, culture, fashion, design and business. Creative designing could  redefine the using boundaries of spaces, and improve the communication and resonance of knowledge. Thus, a unique design mode was produced.

        随著人类文明进展，现今的网路思考改变著生活样貌，世界的产业型态从单一化走向複合式，跨界合作与创客潮流的思维催生了「共用办公室」的概念。坐落于上海静安区的 U-CUBE 为因应产业多样性与空间需求，建筑师林棕然打破传统办公室的空间界线，以「集合分享，自然生活」为出发点，将整体空间打造为多样化的共用办公型态，探讨一种凝聚上海特有的艺术、文化、时尚、设计、商业等多维度的气氛，创新思维重新定义空间的使用界限，让知识在此进行交流与共鸣，产生一种独树一格的设计模式。

The design trend of " shared office" today is dominated by the western's.  C.R. Lin said: "The western working atmosphere is relatively open. However, here in eastern countries, there are many people used to have a private work field." U - CUBE is different comparing to western's individual shared office mode, not deliberately implanting any unique working types, It mainly targets small groups of creative businesses companies, offering the right amount of shared space for that company. This mode provides companies' opportunities to not only communicating and sharing but also works independently. A "shared office" can let enterprise switch their working atmosphere in freedom. Through research we able to divide space based on individual's demand. It brings out the maximum space utilization percentage that public demands. Then turn that result into action by using same size green wall and pool to adjust China's dry indoor climate. At noon, some office space converts into a multifunctional restaurant space; At night, It shifts into a bar combining with the hall, they become one large activity space. It can provide space for public speeches, salon , exhibition and etc. It transforms U-cube into a public platform that brings value to society.

        为现今共用办公室的潮流设计为西方主导，林棕然说道：「西方的工作型态较为开放式，而在东方，仍有许多人习惯拥有私人的工作场域。」U-CUBE不同以往针对个体的西方共用办公模式，不刻意植入过于独特的工作型态，目标族群主要针对小型的创意公司的创业，订製出合适以公司为单元的共用空间型态，让企业能在此自由进行私密与共用间的交流与切换，经过研究以集个别的概念去规划空间功能，最大可能集约出大众需求，加以转变成可操作的设计元素，如平均计算一个人一天所需要的新鲜空气量与室内湿度，而在一楼入口出放入对等面积的植生牆，搭配调节大陆乾燥气候的水池，预设中午办公室用餐最大人数，转换为多人同时使用的多功能餐厅，而夜间可转变为各界人士共同交流的酒吧，又可配合弹性隔断可与大厅空间开合成一体使用的活动空间，让大厅与此处联动，为公众提供演讲、沙龙及公共展览…等用途，让U-CUBE成为能为社会带来价值的公众平台。

In recent years, many workers are tired of the rigorous atmosphere of traditional office and yearn for a cozy working environment that likes a coffee shop. Therefore, U-cube can accommodate different users' demands.

This innovative office field will be able to carry on local culture, and integrate nature, ecology and people into a comfortable atmosphere, and create a relaxing working vibe. U-cube contains two floors, designer decided to add one interlayer to each storey, so that a larger space can be made available to fit the appropriate height of an office. It becomes a space that has more layers, Designer also considered different user groups' work demands, different styles and sizes meeting rooms are arranged and spreads between each floors. Those spaces can be transformed according to number of people and their mood, The first floor is designed for big meetings and parties. The second floor is an open space for easy discussion and communication purpose. That big ladder becomes the platform of exchanging and communicating between different companies. The egg shape that floats in the air also plays a positive social role, which eventually reaches the comfort of space through careful calculation, and be seen as a perceptual nature.

        近年共用办公空间当道，许多工作者厌倦传统办公室的严谨氛围，嚮往如咖啡厅般惬意的工作环境。因此建筑师希望 U-CUBE 能够容纳不同需求的工作者，就有如上海这座海港城市海纳百川般地具有包容性。使这个创新的办公场域能够承袭此地的文化风情，并融合自然生态予人的舒适氛围，创造出如艺术旅店一般令人放鬆的办公空间。U-CUBE 包含两个楼层，而建筑师在一二楼加设了夹层，迎合创意人才对楼中楼的偏好，进而也让空间更有层次性，对内考虑不同人群办公的讨论需求，也在各个楼层空间内散佈不同大小风格的会议间，让创意发想在各个角落蔓延，人们可以按照不同心情与人数变换讨论空间，一楼以大会议与聚会使用，二楼开放强调轻鬆的讨论，以流畅的大阶梯打开不同公司间的交流与沟通，让飘浮在空中的蛋形体也扮演著积极正面的社交角色，最终经由缜密计算达到空间的舒适，理性量化后的转译为感性自然。

Based on the design concept of "Water Dancing", we creatively placed a dynamic form into the metropolitan city. This avant- grade nature design, artfully makes the design itself combined with the circulation and dynamic atmosphere created by the U-CUBE. Free cables which are composed of steel tubes will lead you into the interior spaces. They also play a role of connecting the upper and lower floors, changing the ordinary escalators became the focus of the whole creative space. Users can obvious its elegance and beauty. Wall at the first floor is white and elegant, with segmented water-lines stone floor combined with some logs, hair stones, plants and other materials. It delivers fresh and multiple experience. Second floor, the ends of the steel tubes all gather in one place and become a new origin, the egg-shaped body carrying a creative imagination. The design of its hanging in the air just like it is relaxing in the air. Because of the transition of its curvy shell and some elements (like water ladder and cement tubes and etc), it is possible for the flow of sharing atmosphere head to every corner of the floor sand. Adding a sense of both relaxing and healing.

        建筑师以〝水舞〞为概念的在都市丛林内置入一种创意的动感形式，蔓延出前卫自然的设计，让设计巧妙结合于U-CUBE 的动线与氛围营造之中，由入口开始引领人入内，是由钢管构成舞动的自由网线，串接起上下楼层，让普通不过的手扶梯竟也成了整体空间的创意焦点，宛如韵律般的飘逸性是整体显而易见的感受。一楼牆体以白淨素雅的基调与水纹的石材地板分割为基础，并结合原木、毛石、绿植等材质在既有建筑体内因应呈现一种清新多元的体验，二楼随著钢网的端点再汇集成创意的原点，蛋形的体内承载著创意的想像，其悬空设计宛如置于气流中那样放鬆。周围的藉由整体曲形牆的转换，与水阶梯与水泥筒等元素，把共用流倘到楼层各个角落，增添了放鬆疗癒之感。
